The Appeal
The Mercedes-Benz SLK occupied a specific niche that was largely its own – offering style and top-down roadster-style motoring with the comfort and luxury expected of the German marque. A folding hard-top was a staple ingredient, adding refinement when the roof was in place, while smoothly and quickly retracting to provide open-top enjoyment whenever desired.
This 2012 250CDI BlueEfficiency is a fine, low-mileage example of the third-generation SLK, and the only model to be equipped with the highly-regarded, torque-rich and economical CDI common-rail diesel engine. It’s coupled to a smooth-shifting 7-speed automatic gearbox, making the car equally well-suited to countryside drives or longer journeys.
The car is being sold by a relative of the second owner, and the car has covered only a few miles recently.
The black exterior and five-spoke alloy wheels present well, with only the usual marks from regular use. Only some light paint touching-up would be required to bring it up to a high standard. Inside, the two-tone grey seats are generally well-preserved, with some slight ruching and minor marks commensurate with the age of the car. The silver trim is complete. Original features, such as the passenger footwell storage net and the wind deflector between the seats, are intact.
The seller states that the car has been regularly serviced. This is a fine example of the SLK that will provide enjoyable and frugal all-weather driving enjoyment to its next keeper.
