The Appeal
If you're looking for a convertible in which to tour Europe, this imported left-hand drive 992 Cabrio would be the perfect choice. With a mere 22,793 miles on the clock and one registered keeper from new, it's a fantastic example of this celebrated 911, resplendent in a fabulous colour scheme and equipped with some very choice options.
Few sports cars have achieved the legendary status of the 992-generation Porsche 911. With its 2,981cc flat-six engine and eight-speed PDK gearbox, the rear-wheel-drive Carrera is supremely usable on the road while delivering 380 bhp and a dizzying 7,500 rpm redline.
Our 911 has been permanently imported from America with all duties and taxes paid, and UK registration is pending. Reassuringly, it has just been serviced by Porsche Brooklands, and the vendor states it is to be offered MOT-tested.
The vendor says:
"A fantastic example of the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera. Beautiful to drive, with exceptional handling, smooth power delivery and impressive performance, while still being comfortable enough for everyday use. The car has been extremely enjoyable to own, drives beautifully, and was serviced by Porsche Brooklands last week. A superb all-round sports car that combines performance, luxury and practicality."kdp-002.jpg590.17 KB

Folding roof demonstrated in good working order
Beautifully presented in readiness for sale
It wasn't all that long ago that convertible roofs involved pop studs, zips, and a good deal of faffing around, but Porsche has elevated the operation of the 911's roof to an art form. We could watch that smooth powered mechanism all day, and the vendor demonstrates this car's roof to be operating exactly as it should. As the photographs attest, the Porsche is in very good condition throughout.
The vendor says that the "overall condition is great condition", citing only a "small mark on bonnet that needs touching up". The interior is reported to be "as good as new", and the photographs certainly show it to be presenting beautifully, in line with low mileage.
While successive generations of 911 have retained the same basic silhouette and that unusual rear-engine flat-six layout, it's in the driving experience where each is a total departure from what came before. The 992 is a deeply impressive car to drive, remaining rigid and composed even in Cabriolet form. With only a whisper under 400 bhp lurking under your right foot, controlled through a lightning-fast eight-speed PDK gearbox, these are seriously quick cars. But the best thing about them is that you can choose to ease off the loud pedal and enjoy a comfortable, relaxed long-distance cruiser. This dual personality is what makes modern 911 ownership addictive; it's the mark of a truly great chassis.
Our car has a mere 22,793 miles under its belt and comes to market freshly serviced by a Porsche main dealer. The next steps are for the new owner to register the 911 and enjoy it as Porsche intended. kdp-127.jpg216.94 KB
