Description
This 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL was acquired in Sacramento, California and is now offered as a restoration project. After standing for several years, the car recently received a new fuel pump, fuel filter, oil service and a new battery. It now runs and drives, but requires further recommissioning.
The body is mostly solid with some rust repair required to the rear floor pans and spare wheel well. The car was originally Astral Silver and was repainted many years ago. The paint is heavily weathered and a full repaint is required.
The interior requires restoration. Seat upholstery, carpets and convertible top need replacement and the wood trim shows deterioration. Power windows currently do not operate. The hardtop rear window has a crack.
The car comes with its original build sheet, jack and tool kit. US title and EU import documents are present.
A solid restoration candidate with good potential.
