Description
This is a truly lovely old motor car, just out of long-term ownership (26 years), which was first registered on 17th July 1969. According to its Heritage Certificate, the car is still in its original colour of gloss black, and was dispatched to University Motors Garage Ltd in London in April 1969 before being sold to its first owner. The car has an extensive history, with a large file including details of restoration – including photographs – maintenance, MOT history etc, and it has been very well maintained along the way (all detailed in a history log), with the most recent substantial restoration having been carried out in 2001. The car has been lovingly cared for by its current owner, who has thoroughly enjoyed his period of ownership. The current condition is very good indeed, with good paintwork and good interior, including dashboard, seats, carpets and door cards. A folding Webasto-style sunroof has been fitted, and this is in good order. The structure of the car is very good – clean and tidy underneath with good sills, floors, wings etc. It is a great example to drive, with plenty of performance, good handling, good oil pressure and no overheating. The car is fitted with overdrive which is nice and smooth. The painted spoked wheels and tyres are very good. Comes with Heritage Certificate, old registration documents, V5C, Driver’s Handbook, Workshop Manuals and MOT certificate to April 2027. This is a very nice MGB, and not to be missed.
