Revealed at the 2003 Detroit Motor Show as a production development of the AMV8 concept, the V8 Vantage marked a significant new chapter for Aston Martin. Developed around a compact aluminium platform and clothed in elegant styling by Henrik Fisker, it brought genuine sports-car dynamics to the marque's range while retaining the craftsmanship and grand touring ability for which Aston Martin was renowned.
At its heart was the company's 4. 3-litre quad-cam, 32-valve V8, mounted low and well back within the aluminium chassis to achieve an ideal front-to-rear weight distribution. Producing around 380bhp and driving the rear wheels, the engine was paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, with the optional automated manual Sportshift transmission offering paddle-operated gear changes. The V8 Vantage was praised for its balance, steering and compact dimensions, providing a more focused alternative to Aston Martin's larger GTs.
This 2008 example is equipped with the Sportshift paddle-operated transmission, finished in Tungsten Silver, complemented by a Black Cherry leather interior and sumptuous suede headliner. The cabin retains the characteristic hand-finished quality of the V8 Vantage, while the car's compact proportions and muscular stance remain as striking as ever on todays roads.
This example shows three former keepers and is accompanied by a comprehensive service record. Its early maintenance was carried out predominantly by Aston Martin main dealers, including Stratstone and Aston Martin Newport Pagnell, with annual services documented from delivery through 2013. Subsequent maintenance was undertaken by respected specialists and the owner, with the MOT history providing an unusually detailed record of continued use, progressing steadily from 23, 286 miles in 2011 to 72, 886 miles in July 2026.
More recently, the car has received considerable preventative attention. Aston Martin Bristol inspected the vehicle in November 2025, followed by four new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres in December. All four brake discs and pads were replaced in April 2026, while an MOT and further rectification work were carried out by Aston Martin Bristol in July 2026. The air-conditioning system has also been overhauled and the car has recently undergone a comprehensive inspection and service at Aston Martin main-dealer level.
Presented in very good overall condition and showing 73, 010 miles, the Aston Martin is accompanied by two remote fobs and three keys. It offers the particularly appealing combination of a naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel drive, paddle-operated transmission and Aston Martin's hand-finished interior.
The V8 Vantage has increasingly established itself as a modern classic, representing the point at which Aston Martin successfully combined traditional craftsmanship with genuinely sporting dynamics in a compact package. With good documented history and recent main dealer expenditure, it is a very attractive example of one of Aston Martin’s modern classics.
