For sale is my 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E 1. 8 LE, finished in Azzuro Blue, with just 48, 109 miles.
This is a genuine LE model and, being number 881, is one of the final 1, 000 190Es produced. The original LE certificate wasn’t with the car when I purchased it, so I had a replacement certificate made. The car has had three previous owners, two of whom were father and son who owned the car from new. It has also been garaged for most of its life and throughout my ownership.
Unfortunately, the car has developed a suspected head gasket issue and has been parked since. I don’t have the time or patience to investigate and repair it myself, so I’ve decided to let it go to someone who can give this lovely 190E the attention it deserves.

The Important Bits
The car is being sold honestly as a non-runner/ project due to a suspected head-gasket issue.
Following an oil change and engine flush, the car subsequently developed symptoms which led me to suspect a head-gasket problem. It has been parked since, for approximately one month.
The car will start, but the coolant has drained from the expansion tank so I am selling the car on the basis that it requires investigation and repair. I recommend that the car is collected by trailer or transporter rather than driven away.
There are also some cosmetic imperfections consistent with the age of the vehicle:
• Small amount of lacquer peel on the driver’s front wing
• Lacquer peel on both door mirrors
• Small crack in the paint on the rear driver’s-side quarter panel, approximately 3cm
• Door cards on approximately three of the four doors are lifting at the top, as is commonly seen on these cars
This is a genuine private sale, and I have tried to be as open and honest as possible about both the good points and the faults.
