Overview
The MGA marked a major turning point for the MG plant at Abingdon after years of models based on pre-war designs with separate wings. Modern, aerodynamic and remarkably capable for its era, the MGA 1500 is today a handsome two-seat roadster, ideal for weekend getaways as well as classic car rallies.
This 1958 example is among the last first-generation MGAs ("Mk I") equipped with the lively 1,500 cc engine that’s a pleasure to use.
Restored a few years ago, it presents in one of the most sought-after color combinations: red bodywork paired with tan faux-leather upholstery.
Its overall condition is very appealing, as evidenced by a recent independent appraisal describing the car as being in an "excellent" condition.
Expenditures since 2021 exceed €4,000. Notably in 2026, the carburetors were fully revised, four new Vredestein tires were fitted, and a full service was performed.
