The Appeal
Out-styling the original Fiat 500 was the task given to Luigi Rapi when Autobianchi wanted its own city car. The resulting Bianchina gave buyers a more spacious, practical and upmarket alternative to the Fiat. Today these very pretty cars make a good choice if you want to avoid the 500’s ubiquity.
This gorgeous two-tone red and white ‘64 car has clearly been loved. The paintwork is the result of a sympathetic 2013 restoration and remains in good order. It is well detailed with metal front grille, white banded tyres and rare Autobianchi mud flaps in red. Inside the colour scheme continues across the original and well-kept interior.
The car’s usability is considerably improved by the fitment of a 650cc two cylinder air cooled engine, mated to an uprated gearbox. The original engine and box come with the car if you prefer originality. We’re told that the car has had just six keepers and been well maintained with servicing every six months including engine oil and brake fluid. The last Revisione ran to June 2025. The car carries Italian registration and its original black plates.
This is a really pretty, well-kept Bianchina that looks great fun.
