The Appeal
Wealthy buyers in search of a long-legged British grand tourer with American V8 grunt were spoilt for choice in the late 1960s. There was the Jensen Interceptor, Gordon Keeble and then of course there was Bristol - a small British firm that produced a succession of superlative V8 GTs for the discerning motorist.
The Bristol 410, produced in very limited numbers between 1968 and 1970, is one of the rarest expressions of the British grand touring tradition. Hand-built in Filton with Chrysler V8 power, the 410 offered performance and refinement that few contemporaries could match.
This example has been in the current owner's care for approximately six years, during which time it has benefited from considered improvements to both the bodywork and the cabin. Mechanically, the car has received attention including a new alternator and an Edelbrock AVS2 4-barrel carburettor, complementing the Mopar 408 small block Chrysler engine installed by a previous owner. The vendor describes the car as being in very good overall condition and reports that the engine starts and runs on the button.
The vendor says:
"Not just something to go A to B in it. A real British car that can really lift her skirts and fly when needed."image.png1.31 MB
