The Land Rover Series IIA is widely regarded as the definitive classic Land Rover, improving the car's rather spartan appointments and making for an altogether more practical day-to-day drive, while maintaining the quintessential character that made them so iconic in the first place. This 109" pickup is one of the most personality-packed, versatile iterations of the iconic 4x4.

This particular 1969 example has undergone a thorough restoration spanning 14 years, with every component either refurbished or replaced. The level of detail is notable - from the dismantling of the bodywork with new old stock rivets to the complete engine rebuild with new pistons, rings and bearings. The vehicle retains its original character while benefiting from thoughtful upgrades like a Powerlite starter and an Autosparks wiring loom for improved reliability.

First registered in Imperia, Italy in 1978

The Condition

All components etch primed and finished with Lecher Macrofan industrial strength commercial paint in Bronze Green
All original galvanised components preserved in their natural state
Original chassis retained except for replacement rear crossmember, sandblasted and powder coated satin black
Interior features three new seats while maintaining the original spartan design
Steering wheel deliberately left in its original aged condition for character
New door handles, locks, seals and rebuilt door hinges
Side and rear windows rebuilt with new channels, original windscreen retained
Roof panel finished in the correct shade of white for the era

Suspension fully refurbished with leaf springs dismantled, sandblasted and reassembled
New Girling dampers and bushes throughout the suspension
