The Appeal
By the time Jaguar launched the Series III E-Type, the original’s delicate shape had bulked up, the six-cylinder had grown into a V12, and the car had taken on a more GT-like character. The Series III has a different kind of charm — broader, brawnier, but still unmistakably an E-Type.
This 1973 example has a handsome patina to it. The light blue paintwork shows its age in places, but the overall impression is of a car that’s been enjoyed, not just stored. Inside, it’s the same story: wear on the seats, a few quirks on the dash, and a feel that’s more lived-in than showroom.
