The Attractions
In 1991, Buick returned with a model featuring one of the most famous and popular names in its history. The Roadmasters of the past had always been imposing cars, built on the largest platforms produced by the Detroit company, and the new Roadmaster Estate was no exception, in fact it was the largest car ever offered by Buick.
It was certainly a car that did not go unnoticed, characterised by its very generous dimensions, barely disguised by its understated and rather usual design for a car of the 1990s, equipped with a huge tailgate and enriched by the unmistakable faux-wood panel finish on the sides, a clear homage to the most exclusive American touring cars of the past. The Roadmaster is an unusual and fascinating blend of tradition and modernity and, thanks to the remarkable Corvette-derived powerplants with which it could be equipped - this example is fitted with the 5.7-litre LT1 V8 - it is also capable of remarkable performance.
Among the strong points of this splendid example are the low mileage presented by the odometer, a truly high level of originality and the unmistakable American aesthetic of great charm that distinguishes it. A truly difficult car to admire on this side of the Atlantic!
