The Appeal
The Triumph TR4, designed by Giovanni Michelotti, marked an important evolution for the TR lineage. Its clean, modern styling succeeded the more generous forms of the TR3, whilst its 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox made it a true sports car. Today, the TR4 remains a highly appreciated classic British roadster, offering the characteristic driving pleasure of English sports cars from the 1960s.
This example originates from New Mexico, a favourable provenance for a motor of this era due to the region's dry climate. It was subsequently acquired from the Paris Conservatoire, before its current owner undertook a complete restoration, finished in 2023 after approximately 950 hours of work. This covered the entire car, notably the chassis, bodywork, paintwork, interior and various mechanical systems. Registered in France on a Collector's Registration Document, with matching serial numbers, it has a valid MOT until June 2028. The seller indicates that the car starts easily, runs correctly and proves particularly pleasant to drive as a convertible.

✓ We also verify whether vehicles are registered as written off as a result of a total loss claim at the time the listing is placed on Car & Classic and we provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to assist you. The presence or absence of a label does not, however, guarantee the vehicle's status and it is always useful to carry out a full vehicle history check before making an offer on it.
