The Appeal

The Rover P6 3500 is one of the most accomplished British saloons of its era. With its Buick-derived 3.5-litre V8 and sophisticated de Dion rear suspension, it combined performance and refinement in a way that few contemporaries could match. The Series 2, introduced in 1970, refined the formula with improved interior appointments and detail changes throughout.

This example is a rare South African-assembled car, built at the Leyland plant in Blackheath, Cape. Having spent its life in the dry, temperate climate of the South African interior, it is described by the vendor as exceedingly solid.
