This lot is part of The Blaauwbank Collection, an eclectic mix of vehicles spanning nearly a century of motoring. The collection showcases everything from practical classics to high-end collector cars, all carefully curated and stored in purpose-built, climate-controlled storage hangars in Central South Africa's arid climate.
For overseas buyers, this is an opportunity to acquire classic cars that have never been exposed to salted roads and the damp European climate.

Rare right-hand drive example from Pretoria, South Africa
Just two former registered keepers, the latter a well-respected Alfa Romeo engineer
Factory-fitted steel sliding sunroof and blue-faced gauges
The Appeal
The Alfetta platform was, put simply, brilliant. Using a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox to achieve near perfect fore-aft weight distribution, it represented a big step forward from the old 105 Series architecture, proving an excellent basis for saloons and sports cars alike.
Penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the GTV is one of the most striking Alfas of all time. Its distinctive wedge profile remains as impactful today as it was when new.
This right-hand drive Strada example comes from Pretoria, South Africa, where the dry climate has been kind to it. Finished in Rosso over Nero, it features an appealing factory specification that includes a steel sliding sunroof, those iconic blue-faced gauges with the speedometer positioned in the centre binnacle, and black tweed upholstery. The original tape deck remains in situ.
With just two former registered keepers, the latter being the well-respected Alfa Romeo engineer Paolo Rossi, this GTV has clearly been in knowledgeable and caring hands. The vendor states it drives well and presents in great shape, with good tyres fitted.IMG_9581 Noel Grove.jpeg3.08 MB
