With a chiselled Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed exterior, spacious cabin and advanced features, the Lancia Delta became a popular hatchback for those who wanted practicality with a dash of style. Yet it wasn’t long before the sporting character of the Delta was turned up a notch, first with the understated HF and then with the much quicker and sportier-looking HF Turbo.
 
This 1989 HF Turbo is a later model, with an extra ten horsepower (140hp) to go with its eight-hole Cromodora alloy wheels, ‘turbo’ side skirts and red ‘HF turbo’ script. Its gloss red paint retains its shine, and the correct two-colour pinstripes along the body sides are present.
 
Inside, the interior is equally well presented and complete, having been renewed with original components sourced from Italy. The seller states that all electrical systems and instruments are in “excellent working order”.

The seller has owned the car since late 2020; they state they have used it sparingly, serviced it regularly, and kept it in dry storage when not in use. They state that the car comes with an excellent history file.

This is an outstanding example of a hot hatch that is hard to find in right-hand drive, UK-specification. Its punchy performance, pedigree and evocative styling will make whoever is lucky enough to own it next very happy.
