The Appeal
We've become increasingly accustomed to bringing Mk1 TTs to market, as their collectability continues to grow. Truly well-preserved, unmolested examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find, making the right car all the more desirable. Those familiar with the Audi TT will already know that the 225 BAM Quattro is the one to have. Powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine producing 225 bhp, it sends its performance to the road through Audi's celebrated Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
For those who subscribe to the mantra that 'colours make cars', this TT could be a particularly special addition to the garage. Ordered new from Audi as a special order, this example is finished in metallic 'Java' green, complemented by the equally rare Alcantara interior trim. The bodywork presents in fabulous condition and really makes this car stand out.
The bright 'Java' green finish suits the TT's futuristic, minimalist design language exceptionally well, accentuating the clean lines and distinctive silhouette that makes the Mk1 such a Y2K icon.
