The Appeal
Whether you approach it emotionally or rationally, the 4200 is hugely appealing. It’s the last Maserati transaxle, the last designed by Giugiaro, and the first Ferrari-engined model. More sorted and focused than the 3200, yet just as pretty, and more sporting than the bulkier Granturismo, it feels like a sure-fire future Maserati classic.
Just 600 Cambiocorsas were built in RHD like this 2005 car. It looks handsome in Azzurro Argentina blue, paired with ivory leather, and is a credit to its long-term enthusiast keeper. He’s only selling due to a change of circumstances. Since buying the car, we’re told it has won its class at Prescott and been regularly serviced by leading marque specialists. Work has included a new clutch in 2022, with recent tests indicating little wear since fitting.
With sonorous Ferrari-derived V8 power and that innovative semi-automatic gearbox, this is a car for enthusiasts. It comes with a current MOT to September 2027.
The vendor says:
“Responds beautifully when you need the extra power, drives well, turns heads with her flowing lines and wonderful colour blue; wouldn’t be selling if I wasn’t unwell. I need to pass the car on to a fellow enthusiast.”
