The Appeal
Is it a coupé, perhaps a convertible, a V8 muscle car or maybe a pick up? The retro-themed SSR is, of course, all those things thanks to its clever folding hard top, 5.3L Vortec engine and large load bed. 23 years on from its introduction, it also remains one of the most unusual and creative cars to come out of Detroit in recent years.
The early SSRs had that 5.3L V8, and this 2004 car, UK registered from new, is one of the last of them. Finished in silver with black alloys and matching decals and racing stripes, it has covered few miles in its life in the hands of just two keepers.
