Notable provenance, purchased from the ex-president of Jaguar Historic Vehicles

The Appeal
The British are masters of understatement. The 'White Badge Edition' XKR is so much more than it sounds. Certainly, these runout models do feature a white badge, but they also have 20-inch BBS wheels, cross-drilled Brembo brakes, and darkened tail lights. The interior boasts Recaro seats, Elmwood or carbon veneers, and chequered treadplates. Performance is upgraded with stiffer suspension, sharper steering, and a raised 174 mph top speed. These are special cars.
This example was acquired approximately two years ago from the ex-president of Jaguar Historic Vehicles, lending it notable provenance. Reported to be completely standard, it comes with service history from new, having most recently been serviced just 2,000 miles ago. During the current ownership, a new fuel tank was fitted, and the underside received a wax oil treatment. Stored in a covered garage, the vendor states the exterior and interior are in excellent condition for the car's age, with only a small area of paint bubbling on the front wing and a minor mark on the centre console leather. It is reported to be running without any known faults.image.png1.5 MB

A few questions. Has any servicing, repair work or inspection taken place since the previous auction ended without selling.
Why was a relief hole drilled in the fuel cap and has the underlying tank ventilation problem been resolved. Has there been any fuel smell or leakage since
Has the gearbox been serviced or repaired and does it engage and change smoothly both cold and hot
Are there any outstanding mechanical or electrical faults
Does the air conditioning work properly
Thanks
