The Appeal

The Peugeot 208 GTi represents one of the last generation of genuinely compact European hot hatchbacks: a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine producing 200 PS, a six-speed manual gearbox, front-wheel drive and a kerb weight that keeps the driving experience sharp and engaging. Deliberately inspired by the legendary 205 GTi, it is a car whose formula, small, light, powerful, manual, is rapidly disappearing from new-car showrooms.

This 2014 example spent its formative years in Switzerland, where it reportedly accumulated a well-documented service history. The vendor notes the Swiss service book records maintenance from 11,416 km through to 163,495 km, including work carried out by Peugeot Löwen-Garage AG in Moosseedorf. That level of documented care is difficult to find on cars of this type and age.

Cosmetically, the car presents well. The bodywork is reported as clean and straight, and the two-tone GTi alloy wheels are said to retain their correct factory appearance.
