In black over yellow with black upholstery

Restored some years ago, this pretty Box Saloon was owned by a councillor in North Yorks who enjoyed it for many years. It passed to a local enthusiast in 2022  and we purchased it from him as he has other toys.

The 7 is a delight in its colour scheme and is in lovely order. The panel fit is good and the paintwork presents well without being too shiny. Inside, the seats have been retrimmed and there are carpets fitted. It is all clean and nicely constructed.

The engine is sweet and the Austin is straightforward to drive. It even has brakes!

The history file includes handwritten notes and drawings of the restoration along with invoices and a letter from the Austin Seven Owners Club confirming that the car was built in September 1931.

A lovely, appealing motor car.
