Description
This is a 1921 Triumph model SD, the first Triumph to be fitted with their own manufacture 3-speed gearbox, with "Spring Drive". It was their top-of-the-range model, and was essentially a Model H with chain drive and the 3-speed Triumph 'box. It is a very original machine, with all the correct features, Brooks saddle and tool boxes; fully working magneto; correct, as-new, Dunlop Cord tyres; valuable registration mark, and a beautiful Bonnikson 50mph speedometer, period AA and RAC badges, etc. Acetylene lighting units fitted, but not commissioned. V5C in my name. It runs beautifully - video available. Ideal for Banbury run. Not ridden for a number of years, but last time out it won a concourse competition! Correct numbers.
