This A30 Seven is a real striking example officially in Palm Green, although it’s more of a Mint Green to our mind. This is really clean for a car of this age, the bottom of the doors and the arches and sills are rock solid, with sharp edges, and the underside, as the photographs show, is also in very good condition.

The ultra-efficient A-series engine and four-speed manual gearbox propel this car along nippily, thanks to the lightness of the car, and it runs at 60mph with ease. Partly because of this, Austin A30s were very successful in saloon car racing in the 1950s.
Ride quality and handling are enhanced by independent coil springs and fully hydraulic front brakes.
It’s a great fun small family car, and being unusually 4-door, means easy access for passengers to the rear. It takes up hardly any garage space being so small.
Austin A30s are incredibly economical to run, and also inexpensive to insure as a classic car, but best of all they are as much fun as any Mini to drive.
