Morris 8 Series E (1946) – Remarkable Opportunity
The Morris 8 Series E announced in October 1938 brought a major restyle with the "waterfall" dummy grille, headlights in the wings and no running boards. The engine was upgraded, receiving a new (side-valve) cylinder head and the gearbox was now four-speed with synchromesh on second, third and fourth giving a top speed of around 60mph
We know from our Facebook feedback that customers like us to market good quality 1940/ 50’s saloon cars that can be used and enjoyed - our latest Morris Series E fits this criterion perfectly.
Owned for the last fourteen years by a professional engineer this stunning little ‘8’ has wanted for nothing and is a real credit his knowledge and skill. The car runs perfectly with a sweet side-valve engine, smooth gearbox and good (for 1946) steering and brakes. The black bodywork presents extremely well with a deep shine, no evidence of corrosion and is complimented by very good chrome bright work.
The original brown leather interior is a real feature of this car and the carpets & headlining have been replaced at some point in the past. The history file contains MOT’s back to 1973, original buff log book etc. and the car retains her original Chelmsford registration number
This is one of the nicest Series E cars on the market and is ready to be used and enjoyed by the lucky new owner
