Description
Offered for sale on behalf of a client, this 1934 Morris Ten Six Sports embodies the unmistakable charm of British pre-war motoring. With its elegant coachwork, tasteful cream and green colour scheme, and matching green leather interior, this four-seater tourer presents an appealing opportunity to enter the world of pre-war automobiles.
The Morris was first registered for road use in the United Kingdom on 16 October 1934. Little is currently known about its early history. According to the British V5 registration document, the car was registered under the number BEH 170 and had a total of four recorded owners in the UK. The last British owner acquired the Morris in 2007 and retained it until 2010, when the car was brought to Germany.
The Morris remained with its owner in Germany until 2024, when it was sold to the present owner. Following the sudden death of the current owner, the car is now being offered for sale once again. Power is provided by a 1. 5-litre six-cylinder engine whose smooth running reflects the period character of this British tourer. The engine starts without difficulty and maintains sound oil pressure. The car runs and can be driven. However, the Morris has not been used since 2024 and had seen only occasional use in the preceding years.
The car is listed in the Morris Register, although the historical documentation currently available remains limited. It does not presently have German road registration. In 2024, a technical data sheet was requested from TÜV SÜD; however, no further work towards obtaining German registration has been undertaken to date.
The hood is in very good condition, and the matching side screens are present.
Offered as a running restoration project, this Morris Ten Six Sports will appeal to enthusiasts seeking an authentic British pre-war tourer who are prepared to undertake the remaining work. Further technical inspections and the necessary remedial work should be anticipated to ensure reliable and safe operation and to obtain German road registration.
With its six-cylinder engine, open four-seater bodywork and timelessly elegant appearance, this Morris offers an attractive opportunity to enter the pre-war motoring scene – whether for leisurely drives, classic car events or as the basis for a sympathetic programme of mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment.
