This is an exceptionally rare 1980 Reliant Scimitar GTC Automatic and we believe less than 75 are registered in the UK today. This strong driving car has a recorded mileage of 69000 and the largely original upholstery would suggest this is correct. The Scimitar has come in part exchange from one of our long term clients in Norwich and has current MOT until September 2018.
ODU 463W has a very good, strong straight bodyshell with older paintwork. The GTC doesn't have a top class paint finish but its presentable and represents a usable, honest car. The interior is largely original and retains lots of patina, carpets have been replaced and the hood is in very good order.
Mechanically the Scimitar is in very good order and is ready to drive away. The 2. 8 litre V6 engine performs superbly and the automatic gearbox changes up and down smoothly. The car brakes and holds the road well and has the benefit of power steering and a recently replaced carburettor. This is a vehicle we have taken in part exchange and is a great basis for cosmetic improvement but can also be used and enjoyed exactly as it is now. This rare example offers a great option for four seater open touring and is a fantastic entry level open classic.
