The Univesal 3 is 30HP tractor with a Morris 2. 6lt 3 cylinder diesel engine, this must be one of the last produced, first registered in Feb 1962 and retaining its original number plate.
Former keeper was a collector / enthusiast and its only recently been used for road runs, starts instantly and runs very well, pulls like train with a good top end road speed. Good brakes stop you in a straight line. Nice smooth and quick lift arms, plus original drawbar and working belt pulley wheel. Nearly new tyre on every corner, all still have pips on. An older restoration with good but not immaculate paint work.
Excellent to drive with only nominal steering wander, even at top speed. Maintains excellent oil pressure on a working gauge, no smoke when traveling along.
Handbrake ratchet is worn, does hold, but can slip off. Slight noise from thrust bearing when cold, clears when warm, no signs of any major leaks or drips.
Ready to enjoy, drive away vintage tractor for sensible money and much rarer than an overpriced MF135.
