AOT 608 was first registered on the 23rd October 1935 and is a Series One Four Seat Tourer. From the old brown buff logbook still with the car, we know the Morris spent the early and mid-1960's with various owners in Middlesex and Surrey. In 1967 the car moved to Northampton where it spent 49 years. We have an MOT certificate from 1976 but then the Morris spent 40 years in a private collection and was not used on the road until very recently.
In 2016 the Morris was discovered and put back on the road by a Northamptonshire based garage. The car was re-allocated its original registration mark AOT 608 with the help of the Morris Commercial Club. Since then it has been the subject of a major programme of mechanical recommissioning and servicing at a cost of over £6, 000 between March-July 2018.
AOT 608 presents well with nicely aged paintwork, good quality weather equipment to include side-screens and a smart upholstery that was re-trimmed many years ago. These lovely little four seat tourers are highly desirable and are perfect for summer touring. They are robust, strong cars and as proof towards their usability, we once drove a Morris 8 right across Belgium, personally delivering it by road for its new owners. These cars have durability, reliability and are so much fun to drive.
