VEHICLE SPECIFICS
EXTERIOR BODY
The Sportline was only available in two VW colour options. This example is finished in the 'Flash Red' solid paint which is in outstanding condition all around the vehicle. The bumpers and side mirrors are finished in the same colour. The Golf features 'Sportline' original decals and a black mohair roof. There are no rust issues and the whole exterior is stunning.
WHEELS & TYRES
The wheels are the factory standard BBS RA 15" alloys with black centre and silver rim. The colour combination finishes the look of the sports convertible perfectly. Each of the four tyres have a very good tread depth.
INTERIOR COMPONENTS
The interior of the convertible an extra edge on that of the standard GTI cabriolet. The seats are racing grey Recaro's with red stitched detailing. The front windows and sunroof are fully electric and the steering wheel and handbrake covers are leather. There is also a wind defelctor, tinted glass and a black tonneau cover.
MECHANICS
The Golf is mechanically brilliant and after carrying out our full inspection we found everything to be very solid and many mechanical parts having been recently changed. These include brake discs, pads and drums and shoes and injectors and timing belt. We have replaced the oil pump, air filter and front wheel bearings. The vehicle will also be sold with a 12 month MOT and 3 month warranty.
SERVICE & MAINTENANCE HISTORY
There is an extensive file of history and maintenance receipts present with the vehicle, displayed in a large folder with details of where the car has been and what has been carried out to care for it over its life so far. Having been enthusiast owned, it has been awarded trophies and has been maticulously serviced which has helped to preserve its beauty so well. The original user manuals and stamped service records are with the vehicle, as well as a spare key.
DRIVE & COMFORT
As this Sportline has been carefully owned, you would not think it has been on the road for 26 years! It rivals the condition of most modern vehicles and it is a whole lot of fun to take out on the road with the roof up or down! The gears are smooth and the 1. 8 injection engine is responsive.
