I’ve always been proud to say that my father, Ted Whiteaway, was a racing driver, but I never knew the full details. Using extracts from her extensive diaries along with her amazing memories and photos from our family albums my mother, Patricia Whiteaway, has created a unique insight into the most exciting time in their lives.
From the moment they met in London, this book chronicles a glorious time spent restoring wrecks, racing at Silverstone in a Railton, travelling around Europe in a huge bus, driving his HWM at Rouen, competing alongside Mike Hawthorn & Stirling Moss, racing his beloved AC at Pau, winning at Goodwood, and Le Mans, his racing accident at Oulton Park in 1961 and much, much more.
Please note that we only printed 200 copies of this book and have now sold out but if there is sufficient interest we might do a small reprint run.
