1936 Morris Eight "8" Series 1 With Sliding Sunshine Roof . Presented today in exceptional condition after being fully restored in and around 2004/ 2007 . A photographic history of the restoration is supplied with the Morris , showing the process of restoration from the Chassis up . The chassis is beautiful enamel black . The coachwork is beautiful and it has a very high gloss finish . Headlining and carpets have been replaced to specification and the original leather seating and door cards have been retained . The wire wheels have a smooth gloss black finish and set of excellent tyres are fitted . The exhaust system is like new and a new battery has recently been fitted . Opening the bonnet we see a lovely engine bay all neat and tidy . The original Morris oil can is also present . The motor has been upgraded and totally rebuilt in 2012 having new shell bearings and + 40 pistons . (Supporting invoice supplied) . This is the USHM1 motor which gives 29 BHP and was fitted to the Series E although "Morris Engine Exchange Services" in period supplied "Short Block" motors for Series 1 and 2 models . All the necessary modification have been made to the USHM1 motor fitted to make it look like a UB motor such as the oil filler been correctly positioned to the Left hand side of the engine etc . The carburetor has been totally rebuilt along with the distributor , (Invoices supplied) The Morris Eight starts easily and shows good oil pressure and charge rate . The 3 speed gear box operates superbly and the baking system brings the Morris Eight to an in line precise stop .
