Exterior Features
The Golf GTI is finished in Tornado Red and the paint work is fantastic all around the vehicle. First registered in 1987, this example is a very early, small bumper 16-valve, and has styling options such as the red stripe detailing on the front twin-lamp slatted grille and black side stripes. The three-door hatchback has a sunroof and black VW badges front and rear with 16-valve badges inside and out.
Wheels & Tyres
The GTI has the standard Volkswagen bottle-top style Montreal wheels. Each of the 14" alloys are in brilliant conditon and really finish the retro look of this stunning Volkswagen. The vehicle will be sold with 4 matching brand new tyres.
Interior Components
The interior of the Golf is in superb condition and the seats have no rips or staining. There is no fading on the carpets and all of the components work as they should. The early VW GTI's feature red and black stripes on grey cloth material. The dashboard has a working MFA onboard computer and this example has the added benefit of electric front windows.
Mechanics
The Golf has undergone our full mechanical and body inspection, full service including oil change, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and new spark plugs. The current MOT certificate is valid until August 2019.
Service & Maintenance History
There have been just four previous keepers of the Golf GTI over the past 32 years and there is a detailed history file which includes servicing and maintenance over the vehicle's time on the road. There are many previous MOT certificates present and the original user manuals and service book remain with the Golf.
