This R107 California version benefits from the earlier Bosch D-Jetronic electronic injection providing for livelier performance than the post-November 1975 version fitted with K-Jetronic mechanical injection. It was sourced in the US for its originality and imported in Greece to be part of a private collection. Once acquired by its second owner, a series of repairs were conducted including the following:
- Overhaul of the front and rear ends.
- Full detailing on the entire engine bay and underside to superior standards (photo documented).
- Full service of the engine and transmission.
- Fitting a new soft top in the original Dark Blue 5010 and rear passenger seats.
Furthermore the wheels were upgraded with Mercedes alloy 5 stud 6. 5J x 15" ET 30 KBA40918 permitting for better cruising and braking.
It is now offered in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
