The best most reliable and long lasting Mercedes diesel engine ever made. If a Greek or Italian airport taxi owner has one of these and does not get a million km, he genuinely wants to make a warranty claim! There's no rust, drives like new, a fraction over 70000 miles. Mercedes should have stopped with this one, the current offerings are unreliable, by comparison, overly complicated and expensive and poorly built. Most of these rust badly, but this one has lived its life in a garage, and is completely rust free. This one is the non turbo version, it was not made for very long, maybe 18 months, then the turbo came along then the horrible common rail nonsense, then the ones we have today, with the electronic claptrap that all current owners are well aware of the failings. this car achieves 43 miles to the gallon. It has super cool new a/ c compressor pump and condense Everything works just the way it did when the day it left the factory, have a close look at the drivers seat bolsters, that tells the whole story ! This is the only one available with this very low mileage in the UK. It represents perfect entry level to Mercedes classic car ownership, and unlike all the other members' cars, this will one will reliably work all day every day ! I will separate the plate 12K and 5K car accordingly, but it does look the part together. The plate looks very similar to the Paul Raymond Fiona Richmond FU2 which was auctioned a few years ago 180k ! A steal at a fraction of the cost.
