1975 Rare Leyland Innocenti Regent 1300 SOLD

The Regent we offer mounts the engine: A-Series with a 1275 cm³ lateral camshaft of 67 hp. To better respond to the tastes of Italian customers, in fact, Innocenti chose to mount the versions powered by 2 carburettors of the well-known English engines. Compared to the English Allegro the Regents were indeed much brighter and faster: the 1300 went from 137 to 150 km / h. It should be noted that the 1300 engine was the same as the Mini Cooper 1300, only slightly weakened. The interiors are modern, with the dashboard in a single piece and the characteristic quadrangular steering wheel (quartic steering). As the English model could boast good finishes, good brakes and, as mentioned, excellent road behavior. Of the 3000 Regents produced from 1974 to 1976 it seems that only 4 of them remain in circulation, 3 of which are circulating, including ours. The proposed car is a one owner with original plates and documents, use and maintenance booklets, booklet holder, spare parts manual and a logbook with all the maintenance and fuel consumption notes. Registered with a banker in May 1975 to replace the classic Fiat 600 D. The car was used only on weekends, because during working days, the buyer went to work on foot. The careful maintenance sometimes performed even personally, brought the engine up to 177, 000 km where, determined to keep the car, our bank, in 2003 had the engine replaced with another one of rotation and the invoice for the purchase of the new engine with the which ran from only 10, 500 km from 2003 to 2009. It makes an impact to see the fuel recording diary with the last full 15. 66 liters run on 11 July 2009 ... Then parked in the garage, due to the premature demise, we have it then so rediscovered, stopped for 10 years. We calculated that the car traveled an average of 6300 km a year from 1975 to 2003, and 1700 km a year with the new engine. A complete preparation / service was therefore carried out and today the car with its "particular" aesthetics is ready to resume the road for rallies or trips out of town like over 40 years ago. A car for many, but not for everyone!
