1978 British Leyland Classic Mini – Restored Shell – Leyland White & Black
A lovely example of a 1978 British Leyland Classic Mini, which has undergone extensive restoration work, including a fully rebuilt bodyshell using genuine British Heritage panels.
I originally purchased the car and started the restoration in 2014. The car was professionally painted inside and out in 2021 in its classic Leyland White with a contrasting black roof.
Since completion, it has been kept garaged and has covered only a handful of miles.
Mileage: 69, 337 miles
The car retains its original registration number.

Engine & Mechanical
The car retains its standard 998cc A-Series engine, fitted with a Stage 1 performance kit.
The engine has not been rebuilt and has only been tidied up. It does occasionally produce some smoke, so this should be taken into consideration by prospective buyers.

Additional Information
The car is now MOT and road tax exempt due to its historic vehicle status.
Although the restoration work has been completed, the car has covered very little mileage since and may require some light recommissioning before being returned to regular road use.
For this reason, I would recommend collection by trailer rather than driving it away.
