MGB Roadster – Utterly Original & 16, 359 Miles
The MGB was launched by MG Cars in May 1962 to replace the MGA and remained in manufacture until 22 October 1980. In the second half of 1974 the car was redesigned in order to meet USA crash/ headlight regulations and the ‘rubber bumper’ cars went into production. Today this last incarnation of the MGB has found a new generation of enthusiasts. Well maintained, unmolested examples are rising in value and provide the perfect entry into classic open top motoring
Welcome to the sale of one of the most original MGB Roadsters you could hope to find. Finished in Vermillion, she has never been resprayed and still wears her original tyres (date code July 1980) the car has covered just 16, 000 miles from new.
The body is blemish free - all panels are original factory fit with excellent gaps, no evidence of any repair work and the Vermillion paint has a deep shine with no fading. Mechanically the car starts instantly and drives very well with lovely B exhaust note and nice sharp engine bay. The previous owner, a retired garage engineer, wanted the most original/ usable MGB and the car is a testament to his knowledge skill and love of the car.
The interior is outstanding (not a reproduction item in sight) with seats, carpets, hood, dash all in excellent condition. The history folder contains drivers hand book, MOT’s back to 1987 warranting the mileage, invoices and previous purchase invoices
Difficult to imagine a more original or usable roadster this car will give years of pleasure to the lucky new owner.
