This desirable original UK RHD 1966 model year Beetle was bought new from W. H. Jervis & Sons VW Garage, Hanley, Stoke-On-Trent on 1st May 1967 and remained one owner until 2003. Upon the original owners death it was then registered to his daughter till 2012. The original service record book is fully stamped with dealer stamps to approx. 31000 miles.
This is a cherished family vehicle that has only covered approximately 62000 miles in 52 years. With 2 original family owners and one lady owner of late this Beetle has been truly loved and pampered all its life.
Finished in the original factory Java Green the paintwork was fully refreshed 7 years ago with the addition of a cream side. The paintwork is excellent and is testament of the work carried out. During this time new floors and heater channels were installed. All the chrome is either new or has been refurbished. The underside of the car has been professionally waxoiled.
The interior of this Beetle has been fully restored to the highest standards which includes; new cream leatherette seat covers with contrasting piping fitted to the original restored seats with matching door panels, new headlining and full carpet set. The interior space is light and airy and a nice place to be. The original steering wheel is nice to see all to often replaced with aftermarket sports wheel.
The original steel wheels including the spare are in 1st class order and painted in cream. There are no imperfections. The wheels are shod with a fairly new set of period radial tyres.
Mechanically excellent. The original engine has been very well maintained and sounds and performs as it should. The car is on its original 6 volt system and starts instantly on 1st turn of the key . The gears are selected easily and this VW drives very well on the roads. The brakes have had a recent full overhaul and many parts renewed. A new MOT will be applied upon sale for peace of mind.
The boot space/ fuel tank area remains immaculate and looks new. I have ordered the card overmat to protect from scratches etc for the future.
In summary this early Beetle which is an original UK RHD example would stand any inspection and is sold with upmost confidence. 3 Previous owners, super low mileage. This is a rare find and priced realistically.
