LOT 20: A 1935 Austin Seven Ruby saloon, registration number EMX 633, maroon over black. New for 1934 the Ruby was significant step in the S7 evolution. The new body style featured valenced wings and a taller cowled radiator which enhanced the flowing lines, self cancelling trafficators, the wheels were reduced in diameter from 19 to 17 inches and for the first time syncromesh was now present on the third and fourth gears. This particular Ruby has been with our vendor for the past three years. There is a photographic record of an engine strip and body rebuild in the early 1990s and the car is said to drive well. The Austin has been used by the vendor to attend local classic car meetings and is only being sold due to the imminent arrival of a Daimler V8 250 Saloon. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration
