This car has the breath taking V12 engine which propels it from 0 to 62MPH in just over 6 seconds. The full speed is limited to 155MPH. Amazingly the fuel consumption is not much worse than the more common V8 engine (this car is showing 21MPG on Motorway driving / computer). This is because the 750 is revving at just 2, 600RPM at 100MPH - so it is whisper quiet and will go on for ever. The 5 speed ‘Steptronic’ automatic gearbox also has an Adaptive program built in which learns to react to your driving style and also road conditions. For example, when you coast down a hill at 40 to 50MPH the car senses the change in gradient and will change down to 3rd gear, but if you just touch the brake pedal the box will automatically change down to second gear for increased control (you barely even notice but it does it!). Gear change is seamless. In Steptronic mode you can effectively assume full control of the box and drive the car like a manual and there is also a full sports mode.
The specification of this car simply cannot be matched. There are options on here that you will need to sit down and learn about if you are to fully appreciate what you are driving. For example, The Dynamic Stability Control constantly monitors the speed of all 4 wheels, amount of acceleration or braking and the angle of steering lock. If it detects any risk to traction while driving it can reduce power from the engine while also applying the brakes to each individual wheel to ensure maximum safety. Basically if you can’t control the car properly, it takes over! While DSC is doing this EDC is monitoring the shocks and constantly adjusts the damping to suit road conditions and driving style. If you engage the Sport mode it instantaneously transforms this luxury barge into a sports coupe with rock hard suspension for maximum handling and grip.
The TV monitor gives you fantastic quality terrestrial TV on the move and the 10 speaker Hi-Fi (in a sumptuous cabin and shielded by double glazed windows) sounds delightful. It also has Comfort Seats and you could easily spend 20 minutes just finding your optimum driving position orthopaedic seats alone and then there is the electric steering column and mirrors. Just be sure you remember to hit the Memory button so you don’t loose it all!!
The interior is STILL LIKE BRAND NEW. I cannot remember the last time I saw cream leather which has obviously been so well looked after honestly think you were the first person to sit in there. That’s why the £4000 optional extra Nappa leather comes into its own .
Everything inside the car works as it should
The exterior is in EXCELLENT condition too without a single mark.
There is no question about it, this car is in OUTSTANDING condition for its age and miles. It has covered 24’800 miles from new, which is nothing for one these but more importantly it has been owned by ( The MD of BMW ) and has full MAIN DEALER service history and has clearly had no expense spared on it. The car looks a million dollars, it drives LIKE BRAND NEW with no faults, rattles or noises. It has clearly been maintained regardless of cost, it drives the way it did the day it left the showroom and the interior is still as fresh.
This car was ordered in 2001 one of the very last to be built, This model alone was well over £91, 000 a few years ago.
It is barely run in at these miles and a guaranteed future classic
