Lincoln Continental Mark IV 1975, only 45, 000 miles. 460 (7. 5 litre) engine. Good paintwork, vinyl roof and chrome, no rust, excellent red luxury velour interior trim. 'Marti' report is to hand and indicates that this car is rare as not only was it was one of only 88 made with this paint/ trim combo but also it has every factory option that was available - which are as follows.
Moonroof, auto lamps with auto dip feature, cruise control, quarter vent windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, hrw, tilt steering wheel, 2-speed wipers with variable intermittent feature, dual exhaust system and 'suretrack' anti-lock brakes.
Standard features are e/ windows, power locks, 6 way driver and passenger power seats, auto climate control, power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes with hydroboost, opening rear side windows (these were not available after 1975).
Car is fully serviced with many recent new replacement parts, ie new spark plugs and wires, ignition module, coil, distributor cap and rotor arm, front suspension bushes, brake master cylinder and fuel pump. Also has very recent new whiteband tyres and a refurbished carburetor.
Minus points - clock does not work, (but there is a working portable analogue clock on top of the dash with the Lincoln logo), a/ c needs a recharge/ R134a conversion (I have the parts for that), the a/ c blower only works on 3 speeds plus MAX instead of 4 Hi and 4 Lo. Other than that everything else works as it should.
This car drives fantastically - smooth, quiet and very comfortable - if you know these cars they are like floating down the road on a cloud but with stacks of power always in reserve!
