1989 Saab 900 Turbo
As Saab 900 Turbos go, they really don’t come much better than this. Coming from the custodianship of a collector who priorities condition and history, the boxes are all ticked for the ideal Turbo, starting with the colour combination.
Finished in non-metallic black (colour code 170) with tan leather, and the trademark 3 spoke wheels in contrasting grey, the lines and shine on this car are crisp and even. The interior presents as one would expect for such a cared for example, having covered just a touch over 84, 000 miles from new – remarkably low for one of these models, which are more often found today at 100, 000 miles plus.
This low mileage is well documented, with an extensive history file as a result of diligent maintenance. Between 2011 and 2016 over £5, 000 was spent at specialist Paradise Workshop and more recently a great deal of documented work was carried out by Abbott Racing including considerable bodywork restoration, full suspension upgrade with Koni adjustable dampers and finer details such fully refurbished leather steering wheel and much more. The history file is laden with invoices, history and photographic evidence of much work and care.
An exceptional example of an icon of ‘80s performance, this 900 Turbo has been respected and cherished its previous owners and has had no corners cut in keeping it in top condition and would be as home in a collection as it would be in the hands of a enthusiast.
