Description
We are offering for sale this sublime example of a first-generation Saab 99 Coupé. The vehicle presents itself in a very classic Savanna Beige combination, with an interior featuring period-correct bespoke seat covers over its original seats in good condition. The Saab 99 represents the marque’s renaissance and lays the foundations for what we know today: the styling changes completely, inaugurating the “shell” bonnet and the C-pillar “hockey stick,” typical Saab design. Its design is by Sixten Sason, an iconic designer for the marque. The Saab 99 is powered by a four-cylinder engine derived from the Triumph Dolomite. The car presented here is equipped with a 1. 85 L displacement and a Zenith-Stromberg 175CD-2S carburettor, in a version upgraded by Swedish engineers. This vehicle, originally Belgian and imported by Éts Brondeel, has always remained within the same family. Indeed, its first owner sold it to his grandson in 2003, who then registered it as a classic vehicle. It remains in its original, unrestored condition. The grandson of the first owner simply had a full repaint carried out at acquisition. Its five-digit odometer shows 23, 700 km; however, a true mileage of 123, 700 km should be considered. The vehicle benefits from a recent mechanical service, including a full brake-system bleed. Vehicles are viewable by appointment only.
