A particularly rare and beautifully restored Saab 95 2-Stroke Station Wagon, built in June 1964. Known among Saab enthusiasts as the “Bullnose”, this early Saab 95 is a highly distinctive example of Saab’s pioneering approach to practical yet technically innovative family cars.

A brief history
Introduced in 1959, the Saab 95 was developed as a compact estate version of the Saab 93/ 96 range. Its aerodynamic design, front-wheel drive and lightweight two-stroke engine reflected Saab’s aircraft-inspired engineering philosophy. The early 95 models, with their characteristic rounded front end, have become particularly sought after by collectors.

This particular car has an exceptional Dutch history. It was professionally restored by Saab dealer Borsboom in Woerden, the Netherlands, after which Borsboom displayed the car for approximately 20 years in his Saab museum, “d’Oude Bolneus”.

Following its museum career, the Saab passed to a Dutch enthusiast who commissioned a mechanical overhaul, including a rebuild of the engine, gearbox and braking system. The car was subsequently sold to its current owner in 2023.
