EXTERIOR
This Oak Green example presents really nicely, the paint still presenting with a deep shine, especially after spending the day with our detailer. There are only minor imperfections to report including a few stone chips and a couple of minor blisters in the paint. All of the plastic trims are in excellent condition with no scratches or fading. Amazingly the car still has its original dealer number plates.
INTERIOR
The interior of this Mk2 really is in fantastic shape, with none of the normal wear to the seats or carpets, and all of the dash and plastic trims are in first-class condition. The headlining is perfect with no sagging, and the boot area is very tidy; the spare tyre and tools are still neatly stored under the boot carpet.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
This example has an excellent VW service history having clearly always been very well maintained. Upon arrival at 4 Star the car had a full inspection and service, which included a new timing belt, water pump, thermostat, radiator, distributor cap, rotor arm, and all fluids.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 15-inch BBS alloys are in great condition with only a few minor marks on the rim edges. They have just been shod in a brand new set of Michelin tyres; the car has also just received brand new discs and pads all round.
HISTORY FILE
This GTI has the most amazing service record with twenty VW Main Dealer service stamps in the original service booklet. The last service was carried out by our local specialist in October 2019, which included a cambelt change. The mileage is further backed up with all MOTs dating from the late ‘90s, and with VW service invoices from the last 18 years. The original owner’s pack with all manuals is still present and it even has an original sales brochure. The current owner has had the car for 12 years with only 3 previous keepers before him.
