The horn has a mind of its own on the odd occasion and it could be the switch button or the horn itself ?, We have just taken the bike in as a part exchange against our show winning Suzuki GT550 Triple, the price is very firm as we have allowed £6k as a part exchange so therefore a bargain 'priced to sell at £4888. First to see will probably buy but If you are a purest and you are looking for a complete nut and bolt show winning standard unmolested out of the crate UK supplied Yamaha XT500 worth in the region of £9k for under £5k then this is not the bike for you, for the right type of person you could make this a real winner for very little effort.
If you are to buy and ride home then don't forget to bring your XT500 big hog nail riding boots to start, This is not a bike for wimps : ( you have to be a real man to start this beast of a bike, you have been WARNED.

The XT sounds well and pulls very strongly through all the gears with no clutch slippage and no smoke.
First to see and ride will buy.
Not for the purest collector.
