Craner Classic Cars are now proudly offering a 1958 Wolseley 1500 for sale in quite remarkable condition, one of the rarer two-tone Maroon and Primrose models. The 62-year-old classic comes with a very extensive history file and photographic restoration file. This is an older restoration which is still in fine condition today. First Registered: 1. 1. 58

The car has crisply-defined corrosion-free wheel arches and rock solid sills and underside. It bears new window rubbers and the chrome is also in fine fettle. The two-tone paintwork is echoed harmoniously in the car's two-tone upholstery, and overall the appearance of this charming Wolseley is very impressive. But the outstanding appearance of this 1500 doesn't end there - the engine bay is probably as clean as any other engine bay on any classic car anywhere, with every little nook and cranny under the bonnet free of any sign of dust or grime, evidence of just how well this car has been maintained over the years.
The wooden dash and instrument cluster are both excellently preserved and amongst the car's most stylish and characteristic features. The 1500cc B-Series engine and 4-speed synchromesh gearbox deliver a reassuring driving experience. In 1957 The Motor magazine tested a Wolseley 1500 and reported a top speed of 76mph, and the car is easily able to keep pace with modern traffic.
The Wolseley 1500 was originally pitched as an upmarket alternative to the beloved Morris Minor, and was a very popular car when it first appeared in 1957. They have now become highly sought-after and collectible cars, with prices steadily rising to reflect this.
