Description
The Wolseley 16/ 60 is a kind of posh Austin Cambridge/ Morris Oxford with leather seats, wood dashboard and deep pile carpets. Even today the car as an air of luxury and it smells just as it should. Remember how cars smelt back in the day?
The Wolseley was styled by Farina and has a feel of the era with (understated) fins which exemplify the 50/ 60s.
The car is in good condition considering its age and is in good useable condition.
There is some wear to the seats, but carpets, door cards, wood trim etc all in excellent condition. Starts first click and runs perfectly. There is not evidence of rust to the body and paintwork in good condition.
It is believed the milage could be correct at just over 64, 000 miles, but this can't be warranted. The car was on display at the Glasgow Museum of Transport from 1982 to 2011 and a photo from their archives shows the car in very good condition. DVLA MOT history shows milage increasing slowly from 61, 000 in 2014.
The last MOT expired in 2023, when the car was acquired by the current owner. The car has had very little use since then and has not been MOT’d as it was not legally required. In the current ownership the car has been dry stored and only used in dry weather.
