The silhouette of a Volvo estate must be one of the most easily identifiable car shapes ever created, and this 760 GLE must be one of the finest examples remaining.
Delivered to its first owner in 1985 and sold to its second, and last, owner in 1988, this very early model has been in the same ownership ever since. The remarkable time warp condition is a testament to the care that was taken with it over that time.
The bodywork is completely original and in excellent condition, as is the full black leather interior. Being a GLE, it has a huge amount of extras to make the already legendary comfort even better – heated seats, cruise control, all electric windows, rubber overmats, sunroof – topped off with the best engine option available in the form of a 2. 4 V6 automatic.
The engine and gearbox have recently been serviced and perform flawlessly. 4 new tyres were fitted recently also, along with new brake callipers and brake lines with invoices for £5k in total. The original toolkit and stereo are present, also.
